Our team wanted this artwork to look more traditional style with an application to the contemporary design process. The palette choice is Gold Chroma (hint of red).
Komainu, often called lion-dogs, are statue pairs of lion-like creatures either guarding the entrance or the honden, or the inner shrine of many Japanese Shinto shrines.
The fabric is made with a durable cotton-blend that gets softer over time. Cut and sewn with attention to details that can compete with international standards.
